There’s also a great mix of on-mountain après style accommodation along with rural villages and small townships in and around the surrounding foothills.

If you didn’t already know, most of the Selwyn Six are approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Christchurch. The closest mountain (Porters) is just over an hour’s drive away, perfect for a leisurely day trip from Christchurch.
